Joint pain typically presents stiffness, inflammation, poor circulation in the joint.  Sometimes the pain is sharp; sometimes there is a persistent ache.   Swelling at the joint may be present.  Responds well to heat producing and anti-inflammatory oils.  Lymphatic Drainage oil blend can help  swelling.

Joint Balm is a Medessential Oils blend of essential oils mixed with an emollient cream.  It supports joint function,  and helps relieve joint pain or discomfort.  Ingredients are:   Black Spruce (Picea mariana), Pine (Pinus sylvestris), Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), Sweet Marjoram (Origanum marjorana) Turmeric (Curcuma longa), Black Pepper (Piper nigrum), Lavender (Lavendula officinalis), Ginger (Zingibar officinale),  Chili (Capsicum).    Relevant properties of each ingredient follow.

Black Spruce and Pine:  Muscle and joint pain, poor circulation, immune stimulant, anti-inflammatory.  Grounding  yet uplifting.

Cypress promotes both blood and lymph circulation, aids arthritis/rheumatism,  anti-infectious, anti-spasmodic,

Sweet Marjoram aids nerve pain,  arthritis pain, analgesic, antioxidant.  May help relieve stress/depression, irritability.

Turmeric  – anti-inflammatory, analgesic (arthritis/rheumatism pain, muscle pain), anti-oxidant, rubefacient.

Black Pepper – Rheumatism, arthritis, muscle pain, rubefacient, neuralgia, increases local circulation.  

Lavender – analgesic (muscle/joint), muscle contraction sedative (anti-spasmodic), rubefacient,.  Nervous tension, exhaustion, anger.

Ginger – anti-inflammatory, rubefacient, anti-spasmodic, joint injury/arthritis/rheumatism pain.  Nervous exhaustion, stimulant but grounding.

Chili – rubefacient, analgesic, anti-inflammatory.

Creme (regular and lite):  Apply to painful stiff joints as needed.   Regular formula is more emollient for dry skin.  Lite is for normal/oily skin.   May also request  Joint Balm Massage Oil.

Wash hands thoroughly after applying.  Do not use on broken skin.
